Hosting a panel with ‘Happening’ Director Audrey Diwan, Trust Women clinics co-executive director Rebecca Tong, and UCSF “Abortion Onscreen” researcher Steph Herold. Based on Annie Ernaux’s semi-autobiographical novel, Happening follows Annie, a bright young student who faces an unwanted pregnancy while abortion was still illegal in 1960s France. This discussion took place the day after a leaked draft memo from the Supreme Court outlined how they are planning to overturn Roe v Wade in a decision for the Dobbs v Jackson case.
